MARTHA PRESNAK 1911 - 2011 It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Martha Presnak, at the age of 99, on March 9, 2011 at the Golden Door Geriatric Centre. Martha was born in Sarto, Manitoba on May 25, 1911 to Demetrius and Tekla Nyznyk. She married William (Bill) Presnak and together they spent many happy years in the North End of Winnipeg. Martha enjoyed working in the cake department at Weston Bakeries for 25 years. Martha is survived by her daughter, Barbara Huber and grandsons Curtis and Darryl Huber of Vancouver, BC; one sister, Theresa (Terry) Kuryk of Winnipeg; one brother Paul Nyznyk of Ottawa and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Bill; her parents; four brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m., Thursday, March 17 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. The family wishes to thank the staff at Golden Door for their kind and compassionate care in her final days.
