LAURENE MARY HINDS (nee LANG) March 13, 1919 - March 11, 2011 We are sad to announce the passing of Laurene at the Middlechurch Home, Laurene's 92nd birthday was only two days away. She was born in Plumas and moved to Winnipeg when she was 21. Laurene was predeceased by her husband Jimmy Hinds, her parents, Emma and Wilbert Lang, her sister Muriel Woodman and twin sister Jean Frampton and nephew Brian Woodman. She was a very caring person. Laurene enjoyed her music, ice and roller skating and her home in West St. Paul and cottage on the Brokenhead River in Beausejour. Laurene volunteered for 30 years at the Middlechurch Home playing the piano and organ for their sing-a-longs. Loved and will always be fondly remembered by her stepdaughter, Barbara Harris, grand-children: Deb Leishman (Curtis) and Don Kelly (Sharon) and their families, also nieces Margaret Thomas (Alun), Terry Woodman, nephews Keith (Lorraine), Frank (Diane), Derek (Myra), all of BC; nephew Gerald (Joyce) of Winnipeg. She will also be missed by many great nephews and nieces and many close friends. Thank you to the staff on the 2nd floor, A section, at Middlechurch for their care and support during the past year. A special thank you to Alex Kelly for all his help over the years. In compliance with Laurene's wishes, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, 280 Balderstone Road, West St. Paul, R4A 4A6. Rest in peace, Laurene, I'll miss you.
