MARION MCDONALD October 31, 1918 - March 10, 2011 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Marion after a full life of 92 years. She died peacefully at Concordia Hospital with her family by her side. Marion was predeceased by her parents Hugh and Margaret MacDonald (Daddy Mac and Nana) as well as her husband Don (Jimmy), sisters Mary, Betty, Margaret and brother Hugh. Marion is survived by her children Donna, Lynda (Stanley) and Bill (Diane) as well as seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Marion grew up in sunny St. James on Albany Street. When she married Don in 1938 they bought a house across the street from her parent's home where she resided until 2005 when she moved to Kildonan House. Marion was someone you couldn't help loving. She was a good natured, easy going, sociable person who had a great sense of humour and could laugh at herself. She was a True Blue fan of those Bombers and had season tickets well into her eighties (sense of humour came in handy here). She attended many Grey Cup games with her daughter Donna. Marion loved to play bingo, enjoyed bowling and followed most sports as well as keeping abreast of current events. Marion was a beautiful, sweet, kind, caring and gracious lady who remained so to the end. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Mosaic Reception Centre, 1839 Inkster Blvd. Flowers are respectfully declined. Donations in Marion's memory can be made to CNIB. Be at peace Mom and know that we all love you and will cherish your memory forever.
