She died in Deloraine Health Centre, March 22, 2011. Known as Jean most of her life, she was born in Selkirk, MB, grew up in Clandeboye, MB and lived and worked for almost 30 years in Winnipeg. Jean was very proud of being a licensed practical nurse. Her patients at Seven Oaks Hospital in Winnipeg and the Bren Del Win Lodge in Deloraine were her top priority and she was a strong advocate for them. In her last few years, Jean and her husband Lorne moved to Deloraine, MB, which she said was like heaven on earth! After many years of health challenges, Deloraine was a healing place for Jean. Jean is survived by her husband Lorne, daughters Jennifer Kristensen, Grand Cayman Island and Nicole Kristensen, Winnipeg, her parents Beth Aime of Sidney, BC and Hamilton Drewlo (Doreen) of Transcona, MB. Jean is also survived by her sisters Cathy (Ron) of Charlottetown, PEI, Milly of Winnipeg, MB and Margie (Paul) of North Vancouver, BC and her niece and nephews Janet, Daniel, Steven and Michael. Jean was predeceased by Jennifer and Nicole's father, Erik Kristensen. Jean's family wants to thank her healthcare team: Dr. Doug Beauchamp, Donalda Vandenberghe, Susan McKinnon, Merle Teetart and Janice Slack for their dedication to her well-being. A special thank you to the staff at Deloraine Health Centre. Finally, Jean's family express gratitude to the people of Deloraine who have embraced them these past few years and have made this difficult journey much easier. A celebration of Jean's life will take place on Saturday, March 26, 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrews Anglican Church, Deloraine, MB.
