EMMA WEGNER 1931 - 2011 We sadly announce the passing of Emma Wegner, aged 80 years, on Monday, March 28, 2011, at Deer Lodge Centre. Emma was born in Saraghiol, Romania. After the war, she left for Canada with her sister Hilda, leaving her parents and other siblings, who came over later on. On their journey to Canada, Emma met Alwin Wegner, who later became her husband. Together they enjoyed 49 years of marriage until Alwin's passing in 2004. Emma was predeceased by her parents and her siblings Kathryn, Hilda and Ted. Emma leaves her two sons, Garry (Colleen) and Bill (Jane), her beloved grandchildren, Quinn, Laura and Daniel, brother Henry (Hilde), sisters, Victoria (Gustav) and Blondina and her sister-in-law Ella who will all miss her. She also leaves many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Emma was well loved by all and will be sorely missed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation, Manitoba Chapter, Suite 210-375 York Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 3J3. Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre at 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery).
