BERTHA MENARD Peacefully, on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, Bertha passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 85 years. Bertha leaves to mourn her sister Jeanne Menard, her sister-in-law Yvonne Menard as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Josephat and Eva Menard, her siblings Aimé, Roméo, Joseph, Jean, Della, Simone, Léo, Noël and Jules as well as brothers and sisters-in-law. Bertha devoted her life to helping others as a teacher. She spent time teaching up north and finished her career in Winnipeg with special needs students. After her retirement, Bertha moved to Quebec for 21 years and returned to Winnipeg last year to be with family. The family wishes to thank the staff at Catherine Place and the staff at St. Boniface Hospital 3rd floor for their care and compassion. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 9, at 10:00 a.m. at Précieux-Sang Parish, 200 Kenny St. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date in Aubigny, MB.
