GAIL LENORE GISLASON May 29, 1949 - April 4, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gail Lenore Gislason (nee Halldorson) on April 4, 2011. Gail was born in Vancouver, BC on May 29, 1949. She leaves to mourn her loving husband Ken Gislason, sons Daryl and Jarred and grandson Ethan (mother Aubrey). She also leaves to mourn her twin sister Barbara (Brian) and nephews Jason and Marcus, sister Lorraine (George) and niece Ashley, brother Allan (Leanne) and nephew Collin, brother-in-law Trino and nieces Jennifer, Lisa and Amy, sister-in-law Emily (John) and nephews Shane, Kevin and Jason, sister-in-law Gladys (Ken), nephew Jeff (Jennifer) and nieces Lorie (Trevor) and Stacey. She will also be missed by numerous family and friends. She was predeceased by parents Leo and Mary Halldorson, her sister Marion, parents-in-law Halli and Albertina Gislason and sister-in-law Lovisa. Gail moved to Arborg in 1965 and worked at the Arborg Hospital for many years. She met her sweetheart Ken in 1968 and they married on June 14, 1969. She dedicated her life to her family and anyone that spoke to her knew she had great pride and love for her grandson. She enjoyed spending her summers at the cabin entertaining family and friends, and could often be found in the kitchen cooking up a storm. She was an outstanding mother, grandmother, wife and friend. She had a heart of gold, always willing to lend a hand, shoulder or ear. Your presence will always be missed and you will never be forgotten. Rest well, we will love you always. A public funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the Arborg Hall. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of your choice. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
