FLORENCE MARY REITMEIER (nee PERRAULT) DECEMBER 31, 1923 APRIL 12, 2011 It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Flo, beloved wife, mother and grandmother on April 12, 2011 at Victoria Hospital. Flo leaves to mourn her husband of 60 years Art, sons Glen (Donna), Wayne (Joann); granddaughter Ashlee and grandsons Josh and Shayne. Her brother Gerry (Louise); two sisters-in-law Louise of St. Jean, MB and Gladys of Kelowna, BC as well as many nieces and nephews. Flo was predeceased by her father Wilfred in 1964, brother Ronald in 1984 and her mother Rosa in 1990. Flo obtained her teacher's certificate and began teaching at the age of 17. She loved to teach, especially younger children and they all adored her. Flo was very devoted to her grandchildren, she enjoyed playing games with them. She also loved to dance, knit, play cards and bingo. Celebrating anniversaries, birthdays and special events was very important to her. She also excelled at baking fulfilling numerous requests for her family's favourite cakes, cookies or pies. After they retired, they did a lot of travelling by car and plane. Their favourite winter spot was Waikiki, Hawaii. Summers were enjoyed at Brereton Lake. Service will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 18, 2011 at St. Vital Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Hwy. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6, or a charity of one's choice.
