CODY SAM REMPEL January 10, 1993 April 21, 2011 Suddenly, along with his dear friend Jordan Polanski, our Cody was taken from us. On Thursday, April 21, 2011 Cody Sam Rempel passed away at the age of 18. Born on January 10, 1993, Cody will be sadly missed by his Mom and Dad, Joanne and Keith, his sister Courtney (Corey), brother Adam (Kirsten) and sister Jordan (Jesse), his Granny and Papa Margaret and Roger Brick and his Oma Trudy Rempel, numerous aunties and uncles and cousins. Cody was met on his journey to heaven by his Opa Jack Rempel, his Uncle Ken Moe and his friend Benjamin Hancock. Cody's love of life revolved around his family, his friends and his sports. Cody's friends were the focus of his life. Nothing was better than a weekend gathering with the boys at the kitchen table. Cody loved his brothers and sisters with all his heart. His big sister and other mother Courtney, his manager and biggest fan Adam and his fashion co-ordinator and party partner Jordy will miss him dearly. Baseball and Volleyball were his passions in life. Nothing came before his sports. Cody spent the winter in the Rookies College Development program where he developed his skills with the hope of an American College scholarship. Cody was invited to the MLB Draft camp in early May. Cody was very proud of this achievement and was very excited to be invited. He will be there in spirit. Volleyball was his other love and he spent as much time with his team as possible. Life was good when he was on a court or a diamond. Cody was proud to have gone to the Provincial Championships with his volleyball team followed by the privilege of being selected as a Manitoba Provincial All-Star for High School Volleyball. There are too many friends and family to mention who are helping us through this difficult time. Cody's friends have been nothing less than remarkable with all they have done including the Chopper and JoPo crosses on the highway. Thank you to his friends and our community for your love and support; it will never be forgotten. We are all touched by the love you share for Cody and Jordan and the care you have shown us all in their passing. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Oak Bluff Recreation Centre in memory of Cody and Jordan on Thursday, April 28 beginning at 3:00 p.m. It will be a come and go celebration. In lieu of flowers we ask that you support The Cody Rempel Athletic Scholarship.
