GWEN HOWE Gwen Howe, aged 93 years, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2011. Gwen was born and raised in the vicinity of Carberry, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg as a young adult. She married Herbert Howe during the war years and lived on Egerton Road in St. Vital for nearly 60 years. Gwen spent many years working for the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, and following retirement, Gwen and Herb travelled extensively. She was predeceased by her husband a year ago. Gwen.. you and Herb were always good to my parents and me. When we moved across the street from you I was 5. I remember a year later when Herb and you were building that gazebo in the back yard. Of course I wanted to help, and after you called my mom to make sure it was okay you guys let me help with staining the wood. Years later I bought that house next to you. I miss our long talks.
