JOSEPH MULROY 1921 - 2011 Born 1921 in Runnymede, Saskatchewan. Our father Joseph William Mulroy, after a long and healthy life, has passed away on April 29, 2011. He lived independently for years. Joe leaves to mourn his children; Pat Toupin, Bob, Joe Jr., Tom (Bernadine) and Chris (Kathleen); 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister Cecelia; brother Jim. Dad served in the forces during the war. After leaving the forces he worked as an electrician for Leo's Electric, Supercrete, MB Hydro, JenPeg, and Culleton Lake Gold Mine in the north country. Dad was active as a volunteer, delivering Meals on Wheels and delivering Christmas Hampers. He was a member of the Flashbacks, out of Morse Place previously out of Kildonan Park. He played twice a week and attended all tournaments until his late eighties. He curled regularly until he was 87 and most recently only as a spare. Joe also was a member of the Prince Edward Legion, and before that the Fort Rouge Legion. Dad was predeceased by our mother, Ella (Jennings) March 28, 2010, his wife of 68 years. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2011 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Words can't express how much we will miss him or how much we learned from him, or how much we loved him.
