LOIS PATTERSON 1943 - 2011 A Celebration of Life It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Louise Patterson (Stevenson) on January 23, 2011. Over the past 15 months Lois has bravely fought a challenging battle against cancer and she eventually was unable to continue to struggle against this horrible disease. Lois is a wonderful wife and mother and she will be deeply missed by her husband Phil, her daughter Shannon, her son-in-law Ryan, her siblings Pete and Sylvia and all of her close family and friends. Lois was a highly skilled nurse of 40 years in the mental health field, completing her career as a Nurse Manager at Eden Mental Health and working in clinical research. Lois also followed her dream of learning to play the piano and recently assisted in the publishing of a children's book. Always positive and energetic, Lois enjoyed a number of activities with her passions being her love of golf, walking and attending Curves. Lois also enjoyed curling and competed at the Scotts Tournament of Hearts while living in North Bay, Ontario. Whether it be while riding a camel past the pyramids in Egypt or volunteering in her local community of Carman, Lois loved life and all it had to offer. A service and Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Carman United Church. Doyle's Funeral Home in care of arrangements. (www.doylesfuneralchapel.com)
