She was predeceased by her late husband Mr. Satya Prakash Kaushal. Shakuntla will be missed by her son, Bhupinder (Manju), daughters, Darshan Sharda (Sushil), Rajee Sharma (Dinesh), Madhu Bali (Mohan), nephews, nieces, and especially her loving grandchildren, whom she loved spending time with. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Thomson In the Park , 1291 McGillivray Boulevard followed by Shanti Path at 7:00 p.m. at the Hindu Temple, 854 Ellice Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
