Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRITA (RITCHIE) MALLARI SOLANO Suddenly, yet peacefully with family by her side, Rita Mallari Solano passed away at Health Sciences Centre, on May 18, 2011 at the age of 56 years. Rita will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Noel; children Khristoffer, Nina, Michael, Anthony and Crystal; son-in-law Delone; daughters-in-law Lindsay and Ruby; grandchildren Justice, Janine, Logan, Kailee and Alexis; siblings Ligaya, Zeng and siblings back home in the Philippines; cousins, nephews, nieces, other family and friends. Rita will be remembered for her love of cooking and baking and kind heart towards her family and friends. Viewing will be held on Thursday, May 26 and Friday, May 27, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Edward's Church, 818 Arlington Street. Interment will follow in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at the Health Sciences Centre on the 1st floor for their kindness and compassionate care. Tita Ritchie was a very thoughtful & loving lady. I remember her delicious chicken & pineapple sandwiches and fresh hopa! Sorry I didn't make it to your funeral. My prayers and thoughts are always with tito and family. I saw you a week before you passed away at Northgate. You were always so caring and concerned about me. Thank you tita. I've been a client of Ritchie at a beauty salon in Padre Algue, Tondo Manila. I've been trying to reached her since I came to Chicago in 1986. It was yesterday that I remembered her last name from marriage & google it, but found out that she rest peace since May 21, 2011. Our last conversation was when I was still in Manila, both of us wish that we will see each other again. She is a very loving, thoughtful & kind lady.
