Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCURTIS EUGENE STEFANIUK April 21, 1962 June 21, 2011 Surrounded by the love of his family and friends, Curtis slipped away peacefully at home in Beausejour on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at the age of 49 years. Remaining to forever cherish Curtis' memory are his beloved wife and best friend Elaine; children Matthew (Hillary), Leah (Justin), Courtney (Jason) and Christopher; father Eugene (Eleanor); sister Coleen (Terry); sister- in-law Heather (Glen); brother-in-law Rob (Leanne); numerous nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his mother, Patricia in 1986. Curtis led a busy, active life. With much respect and admiration he recently retired from the City of Winnipeg Police Service to enjoy a relaxed lifestyle, taking up farming, travelling and volunteering in the community. He was devoted to the Lord and was a loving, committed husband, father and son. Always willing to lend a helping hand Curtis would listen without judgment, and was eager to share a laugh or just give a big old hug. He loved life, the great outdoors, had a special smile and sense of humour that would brighten any day. He was loved by all. On Sunday, June 26, 2011 a Celebration of Curtis' Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Brokenhead Recreational Complex, 320 Veterans Lane, Beausejour, Manitoba. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to all of their special friends and family for their compassion, care and friendship. In lieu of flowers, donations in Curtis' memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
