MICHAEL JAMES MOONEY It is with profound sadness that we announce the tragic, accidental passing of Michael James Mooney at the age of 23. Michael was predeceased by his Grandpa Mooney. We can hardly express how much he was loved and how terribly he will be missed by his mom and dad, Pat and Debbie; his brother Bill (Nadine) and the absolute joy of all of our lives, his niece Paige. Also his Grandmas and Grandpa; many aunts and uncles; cousins; friends; his first love Leah; and his best friend Jamie. Michael was an incredible young man. Michael went to school at Dr. Hamilton, Robert Andrews, and graduated from Kildonan East Collegiate where his vocation was carpentry. His carpentry studies continued at Red River Community College where he planned to complete his Carpentry Ticket. He used his skills as a carpenter to earn a living as well as a hobby that he truly loved. He was dedicated and hardworking. Michael's quick wit, kind heart and sense of humour were some of the qualities that made him an amazing son, brother, uncle and friend. He was cherished by a large circle of friends. His love of racing began by watching racing and being around racing with his family. Michael was an accomplished ATV Pro Racer. His success came from his smooth, controlled riding style. His skill and commitment led to no DNF's and many wins. He enjoyed much success and loved nothing more than winning and the trophy that came with it. A celebration of Michael's life will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with reception to follow. Cremation has taken place and a family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca. Glen Lawn Funeral Home 982-7550
