Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID ALLAN SMAHA Peacefully, with his family by his side, our dear father and grandfather passed away on Thursday June 23, 2011 at the age of 63 years. David was born in Winnipeg on April 17, 1948 and was the son of the late Anton and Barbara Smaha. He leaves to mourn his girlfriend Carol; his daughters Jenna and Jessica (Victor); grandchildren Tanisha, Christopher, Keanna, Lucas; brothers Andy (Keitha), Tony (Nettie); sister Sylvia (Nes); numerous nieces and nephews, cousins as well as his good friend Viv and dear friend Karen of 46 years. David attended Argyle School, Greenway, General Wolfe and Tec Voc and worked for Perth's Dry Cleaners for many years. He retired from Canada Post after 28 years where he acquired many good friends. As a young man David loved to play baseball and hockey and in his leisure time he enjoyed Bingo and Cribbage. He will always be remembered for his big heart, infectious smile, great sense of humour and his love for his favourite teams the Blue Jays, Maple Leafs and the Winnipeg Jets. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses of Concordia Hospital for their compassionate care of our Dad. There will be a Memorial Service for Dave at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 30 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. There will be a private ceremony to follow at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if desired, it is suggested that a contribution be made in David's memory to the Canadian Lung Association. We will forever love and miss you dad. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
