Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKEN (ROOSTER) MALYK September 10, 1948 - June 25, 2011 Ken was a unique and gentle soul. His actions, more than his words, demonstrated Ken's profound love and adoration for his wife Deborah (Pruden) and their daughter Jenessa. Rooster would not have wanted to leave them so soon or unexpectedly. Ken was a man with many stories. In his lifetime he was a biker, a bouncer, a cabinet-maker, a horse trainer, a flooring installer and a home renovator. Primarily, though, Ken was a quiet, straight-shooting father and friend, who loved his family and his home. Ken was a good man. Ken was grateful for the simple blessings in life; hanging with Jenessa, an honest day's work, a perogy/cabbage roll feast, puttering in the yard, a beer and a fire on the patio with friends. Uncle Ken was a kid at heart who mastered the art of cloud watching and living off the land. His Pictionary, checkers and fire-making skills are legendary. Ken willingly shared his simple secrets of success with those around him. If Mom said No , ask Uncle Ken. A celebration of Ken's life will be held on Monday, July 4, 2011 at North Kildonan United Church, 174 Pentland Street at 10:30 a.m.
