Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLHA KURIAN September 25, 1949 - June 30, 2011 Peacefully, after a lengthy struggle with cancer at St. Boniface Hospital; aged 61 years. Olha is survived by her son Ron (Penny); grandchildren - Gavin and Kyle (her Angels and love of her life); brother Roman Chomynec (Cynthia), many nieces, nephews and friend Roberta Burgess. She was predeceased by her parents, Anna and Michael Chomynec. Olha was born in England and then the family resided in Canada (1954). Olha was a very successful business woman / entrepreneur with a wide spectrum of experience - managing the offices of Bearing Supply to the Rock Band The Guess Who ! Her dream led to a New Beginning of owning the unique Genesis Book Store in the 1990s. She inspired many customers and friends with the help of Roberta throughout her Genesis' years. Roberta was by Olha's side many days and nights during this courageous battle. Memorial service will be on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service - 2146 Main St., with reception to follow. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital for their care and support.
