Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACOB THIESSEN August 26, 1943 - July 2, 2011 Jake Thiessen passed away on July 2, 2011 at the Seven Oaks Hospital in Winnipeg after a three week battle with cancer. Jake was born August 26, 1943 to Jacob and Katharina Thiessen in Winkler, Manitoba. Jake is survived by his wife, four children, eight grandchildren, one stepdaughter, two step-grandchildren, five brothers and three sisters. He was predeceased by his father-in-2005 and by his mother in 2008. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue in Winnipeg. Special thanks to the nursing and support staff at Seven Oaks Hospital. Thanks for all the visitors, kind words and prayers from everyone. It was really appreciated by Jake. It made him very happy when visitors stopped by to see him.
