My heart still aches and always will Having watched you grow from a sweet little boy Into a handsome young man, loving you, caring for you And then losing you, There’s no greater pain than that. You were the sunshine in my life, My one, greatest, most beautiful miracle, My precious gem. You brought me so much happiness. I was so blessed to be your mother, And so very proud to call you son, To have had you to share my life, ’Cos we shared the laughter and the pain And even shared the tears You’re the only one who really knew me at all.
