Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMINORU NAKANO September 3, 1940 - July 30, 2011 Peacefully at the Concordia Hospital, Min passed away on July 30, 2011, at the age of 70 years. Min was born in Port Hammond (Maple Ridge), BC on September 3, 1940. He relocated to Manitoba with his family in 1946. He was predeceased by his parents Shigeru and Shizue Nakano and his infant sister Yukiye. He is survived by his brother Ted (Mary-Ann), nieces Kimberley (Chris) and Tracy (Reid), several aunts, an uncle and numerous cousins. Min was a graduate of Elmwood High School and the Manitoba Institute of Technology. He spent most of his working life as a partner with Goodwill Radio and TV. He enjoyed sports and curled for many years, first at Elmwood and then at the Granite. He was also a long-time member of the Bide-a-Wee mixed curling club. An original member of the Touring All-Stars slo-pitch team in 1978, he played in the Winnipeg Men's Slo-Pitch League for about 15 seasons. He greatly enjoyed the annual trips to the Can-Am Games in Fargo and visits to major league baseball parks with his teammates. The family wishes to thank the staff of N3E at Concordia Hospital for their kind and compassionate care and neighbours Bill and Gerry for their friendship and support. Cremation has taken place.
