Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARJORIE MONA KINCHEN It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Marjorie Mona Kinchen (nee Caplette) at the Victoria General Hospital August 9, 2011. Marjorie is survived by her four children Denise Colton (Terry), Kerry Kinchen (Dale), Janet Martin (Tony), and Elaine Kinchen (Michael); sadly missed by her grandchildren Matthew, William, Lawrence, Stacy, Christopher, Pamela, Peter, Adam; her great-grandchildren; as well as sister Ida and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Lorne; parents Louis and Victorine; brothers Joseph and Gordon; sisters Marie, Lena, and Josephine. Marjorie was born October 26, 1937 in Rocanville, Saskatchewan and often shared childhood memories - a grin on her face as she reminisced about feeding the deer, riding bare-back to school on her horse, or playing pranks on her brother. She had the opportunity of calling many places home while being a military wife for 25 years. A career in dietary services enhanced her already natural baking and cooking talents. Marjorie valued her family most. Laughter and family gatherings would carry her through the quiet times. She touched everyone's life with her kindheartedness leaving a lasting impression. Mass will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 13, 2011, at St. Charles Catholic Parish, 320 St. Charles St. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. Family then invites you stay and share a luncheon to celebrate Marjorie's life. The family would like to thank the staff at the Portage District General Hospital and the Victoria General Hospital ICU for their care and support. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association or a charity of your choice. Her courage, strength, and faith were an inspiration.
