Barry and I met while both working in the display department of Eatons. His brother owned a used book store but I am not sure he had any other living relatives. Barry was easy going and quite funny. We kept a lot of jokes running for years. We kept in touch after he moved to the AUE but sporadically. He sent great photos from there at Christmas time. I missed him but was glad he found a place for himself there. He took trips from there all over the world. It was a shock that he had passed. I think of him once in a while and really miss him. He was a good sort. - Posted by: Rob Peters (Friend) on: Dec 01, 2018

I knew Barry from our days as Boy Scouts where Barry was with the Panther Division of the Troop. We became good friends and oftentimes, played the game of Football where Barry would play the QB position. Barry could pitch a football behind his back for a good 30 yards gain. Equally, he could pitch a stone across the Assiniboine River to the bank on the opposite side, behind his back, as he demonstrated on many occasions. Lost touch with Barry when he graduated from the University of Manitoba. His death is a real shock to me. See you again, my friend, in a better world to come. - Posted by: Randy Fisher (friend) on: Dec 12, 2014
