HENRY FESTNER It's with sadness we announce the passing of Henry Festner on August 28, 2011, at age 74. He is survived by his wife, Renate; children, Lydia (Marcel) and Elvira (Mark), and grandchildren, Michael, Robert, Gerald, Kayla, Jessica, and Joenel Paraton. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Maria; brother, Hans, and granddaughter, Jennifer Paraton. As a watch maker Henry's focus was on time. But the time Henry looked forward to is the time when death will be no more and this earth will be a paradise again. (Rev. 21: 3,4) The memorial service will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Friday September 9, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. at 1060 Wolever Avenue (east side), Al Johannson officiating. At the memorial service a longer obituary will be available. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their kindness and attention to Henry. He was a proud man. I fondly remember him offering to me to take his cherished prize possession older mint condition automobile for a drive, somewhat upsetting his daughter Elvira as she'd never received this same offer. A nice family. - Posted by: Alan vandenbossche () on: Jun 18, 2014
