MARIA ANTONIA SIBRIAN RIVAS March 3, 1914 - September 28, 2011 On Wednesday, September 28, 2011, Maria Antonia Sibrian Rivas, beloved great-great-grandmother, passed away at the Grace General Hospital at the age of 97 years. She leaves to mourn her daughters, Maria Teresa Sibrian, Mercedes (Juan Jose) Ortiz, and daughter-in-law Vilma Artiga; her grand-children, Sonia, Maricela and Jorge Gavidia, Osvaldo (Rosa Melida) Ortiz, Lupita Artiga, Sandra Ortiz, Hugo and Roxana Astacio; her great-grandchildren, Sonia Beatriz (Kuno) Tucker, Jorge Gavidia Jr., Julio Saravia, Adriana Cardona; Jaime Rodrigo, Claudia, Rocio and Alejandro Antonio Ortiz; Jennifer and Erin Jones; Edda, Hugo and Vicky Astacio; Triny (Sash) Sing; and Rossana (Joseph) Halagarda; and her great-great-grandchildren, Gabriela and Olivia Tucker, Daniela Halagarda, and Argent Sing. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Encarnacion Artiga and her beloved son Jose Angel Artiga. The family would like to thank Fr. Jorge Mario de los Rios Londono, the members of the Renovacion Carismatica Catolica Nueva Jeruzalen , the brothers and sisters of Parroquia Nuestra Senora de la Asuncion; the amazing team of professionals who work at the ICU of the Grace General Hospital, and The Home Care Program St. James area. Viewing will be on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Prayers will be said at 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Parroquia Nuestra Senora de la Asuncion located at 29 Des Meurons St., with Father Jorge Mario de los Rios Londono presiding.
