FLORENCE MORRISON (nee GLEDHILL) July 31, 1920 October 27, 2011 Passed away peacefully at Oakview Place on Thursday, October 27, 2011, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Robert M. Morrison. She is survived by her children, Bob (Linda), Jack (Jane), Glenn (Pauline) and Jim. Mom will be sadly missed by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters and five brothers. Mom lived nearly all her life on Roseberry Street in St. James, where she and Robert raised their family. Much of Mom's life revolved around her son Jim's Special Olympic activities, where Mom was an active volunteer at both swimming and ten-pin bowling. She spent many years herself bowling in the C.P.R. retirees' league where she made many long-time friends. She was a member of the board at St. James Industries for a period of time. Friends are invited to attend a service at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. Special thanks to the staff at Oakview Place for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Equal Opportunities West (formerly St. James Industries), 2609 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3J 0P6 for their continued work with the disabled.   • Grandma Morrison, wow it feels like it's been a lifetime since I've seen you. Just want you to know that everyone down here are all still thinking about you and missing you. I wish we could have had a lot more time together, you would have really loved my husband and daughter. Always thinking and remembering you!
