Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMELVA ANN KNIGHT July 19, 1931 - November 3, 2011 Melva passed away peacefully in Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, BC. Melva will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 56 years, Don, her daughter Nancy (Randy), son Doug (Toni), daughter-in-law Teresa, also four grandchildren Lindsay, Clayton, Nicolas and Natalie. Melva's sister Sybil, brother Bob (Joanne) and many relatives and friends will also miss her warm and caring presence. Melva was born in Winnipeg where she attended Glenlawn Collegiate. She trained as a nurse at Winnipeg General, graduating in 1953 and remained a passionate nurse her whole life. She married Don in 1955 and moved to Vancouver to begin their life together. A celebration of life will be held on November 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Burquitlam Funeral Home, 625 North Road, Coquitlam, BC. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or other charity of choice.
