Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHEATHER LUCILLE SMITH (nee GREIG) Born the second of three children on September 10, 1952, in Winnipeg, MB, to Bill and Muriel Greig of Fox Creek, AB, Heather passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Red Deer, AB, on January 11, 2012. Survived by her loving husband, Ed; son, Casey Ingram; daughters, Haley Pacaud (Phil) and Keltie Robertson. Heather was adored by her five grandchildren, Carley, Teagan Chelsea Ingram, and Charley and Caden Pacaud. Lovingly remembered by brother, Scott; niece, Jennifer Greig (Corey), and Jayce and Ryder; sister Laurel (Corey); nephews, Rylend, Brodan and Connor McLennan; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family through Phil Ingram and Bob Robertson. Family, love, and laughter defined Heather's wonderful time here on earth. Gathering with family and friends to reminisce, dance and to share her contagious laughter. Heather celebrated God's greatest giftlove. Her keen entrepreneurial spirit spurred Heather to open a hair salon in Duchess, which further led to a vast career as a hair stylist in Film and Television. Heather came from an extremely close knit family and empowered her own children with that same love. Wrapping her children in a lifetime of unconditional love, Heather gave to them the security and confidence to succeed in any part of life. Our family thanks Dr. Graham for his extraordinary and thoughtful care during Heather's brave and courageous battle with cancer. A celebration of Heather's life will be held in Duchess, AB, at the Duchess Community Hall on Tuesday, January 17 at 3:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. Flowers can be sent to 6 Firdale Close, Sylvan Lake, AB, T4S 2M1. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Heather's name may be made to the Canadian Red Cross, Alberta Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice.
