Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA MARIE CASTRO November 13, 1976 - January 19, 2012 Anna Marie was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB; she graduated from St. James Collegiate, Herzing College and attended the University of Manitoba where she made countless lifelong friends. Anna Marie was a valued and cherished family member of Myers, Weinberg and will be dearly missed not only by her colleagues, but also by many clients and all members of the legal profession whose lives she touched. Anna Marie loved spoiling children, as well as her travel passion as seen by her frequent adventures in Grand Forks, Vancouver, New York and Las Vegas, where shopping was always a must. We can't forget her many bus trips to the Casinos with her mom and of course let's not forget her fixation to her Blackberry. Anna Marie will forever be remembered by her numerous relatives and her countless friends whom have crossed in her path in her short 35 years of life. We will all remember her unmatched smile, love of life, generosity and her unconditional acts of thoughtfulness and consideration for others. Anna Marie was predeceased by her mother and best friend, Corazon San Miguel and is forever cherished by her loving families: her father, Jargen Castro, stepmother Litha, brothers Jayon (Jillian), C.J. (Nat) (Jourell, Maliah, Nikko), and Ben; the San Miguels who helped raise Anna Marie since she was a young child to be the beautiful person that we've all known her to be, numerous aunts and uncles: late aunt Julieta (Wilson), Rogelio (Lily), Leopoldo (Erlinda), Ricardo (Flor), Conrado (Aida), late aunt Rosalinda, Jhun (Carol), Noel (Rose), Albert (Debbie), Romeo (Bessie); and cousins and their families: Christian, Joshua (Myra), Marlon (Leizel), Rowena, Jenny (Peter), Red (Jeanne), Jojo (Jerilyn), Michael (Melma), Hazel (Aiven), Sarah Jane (Jon), Lord, Chris, Ryan (Joycee), Jenny (Carol), Richel (Celso), Sheryl, Rosel, Jasmine, Vincent, Jon, Analyn, Hazel, Jocelyn, Romelyn and Russell; and the Castros whom recently Anna Marie put all of her heart to reconnect with. And of course we cannot forget Anna Marie's second cousin who we all know is her best friend, sister, supporter and the only person in this world that knows Anna Marie like no other, Darlene San Miguel. We are grateful to all the health care professionals at Health Sciences Centre (SICU and Unit JKL3) for their personal dedication in the provision of care of our loved one, particularly a heartfelt thanks to Anna Marie's special friend Darryl Buxton and his wife Regan for their unending love and support. Lamay (prayer services) will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home on Thursday, January 26, 2012, from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 Midnight, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Funeral service will take place on Friday, January 27, 2012 at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue at 11:00 a.m. Interment and reception to follow at Glen Lawn Funeral Home. Anna first came into my life as a co-worker and fast became a very special and valued friend to me and my family..she had a warm generous spirit and fantastic sense of humour..she will be greatly missed and always lovingly remembered. I used to walk home with Anna almost everyday during junior high, and she was always happy and would welcome all of her friends into her house to just hang out.
