DONELDA JUNE PATRICIA HONEYMAN (nee LAMONT) June passed away in North Vancouver, BC, on January 17, 2012, at the age of 84. She is deeply, deeply loved and celebrated by her family and friends. June is survived by her husband Douglas Honeyman, predeceased by her eldest daughter Barbara, and further survived by her children Darby, Laurie, Dave, brother Keith Lamont with wife Marilyn Lamont, grandchildren Julie Phippard and Gerald Marion, in-laws Maurice Marion, Dave Hess, Steffan Omray, Yi Kou, as well as many dear nieces and nephews. She grew up in Flin Flon, Manitoba and was the recipient of the Governor General's Medal upon High School graduation. June went on to earn an Honours Bachelor degree in Commerce from Concordia University in Montreal. Subsequently, she became a most respected Girl Guide District Commissioner while raising her four children and running a successful business with her husband in Winnipeg, Manitoba. June was known for her extraordinary kindness and grace. Each person felt special in her wise and gentle presence. She will continue to be an inspiration for each of us to offer (our own) (daily) gifts of love and compassion. By request, there will not be a memorial service for June. In lieu of flowers or other offerings, may you consider June's wish: Give a smile to each person you meet. You never know how that person may be touched.

Mom especially remembers seeing June in her Girl Guide uniform when a trainer came through Winnipeg. Barbara and I drove to University together in a car pool. We shall miss them both.
