Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJERRY (BORIS MITCHEL) KOWALCHUK August 11, 1939 - January 19, 2012 Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Jerry died suddenly but peacefully of cardiac arrest in Coquitlam, BC on January 19, 2012. He left this earth in the loving presence of his wife, Janina, children Tannis (Greg), Shauna (Joachim), Alana (Robert), Laurissa, Jason (Tanya), four grandsons, and one more grandchild on the way. He was predeceased by his first son, Kevin, in 1966. Jerry was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where he married his true love 50 years ago. He was a teacher for over 30 years before moving to Coquitlam, BC in 1995, to be followed by most of his children who have settled in BC. Jerry was an amazing husband, father and grandfather and remained a true Winnipeg Jets and Blue Bombers fan until the end. A memorial was held on January 25, 2012. Jerry enjoyed life to the fullest, and his kind heart and gentle nature will be missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.

I WAS VERY SADDENED TO HEAR OF JERRY'S PASSING RECENTLY . WE ALL GO BACK A LONG WAY, OVER 60 YEARS I BELIEVE. JERRY WAS A GREAT GUY AND WE HAD MANY, MANY, HAPPY TIMES WITH ALL THE FAMILY THE FAMILY. NO ONE COOK A STEAK OR BURGERS BETER THAN JERRY WITH THE BEER ADDED FOR FLAVOUR I'M SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS AND KNOW HOW MUCH IT WILL BE MISSED.
