COLIN MICHAEL TRENT
Date of Passing: Jan 27, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCOLIN MICHAEL TRENT It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our son and brother Colin on January 27, 2012, at the age of 11 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his parents Charlene and Mike, brother Michael, sister Jenna, grandma Jeanne Leclair along with numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Colin was predeceased by his grandparents Eugene Leclair, Michael Trent Sr. and Irene Trent as well as his uncle Elton Anderson. Colin came into the world on June 28, 2000 and from the outset was faced with a number of debilitating physical challenges. Despite his inability to speak and use his limbs, he was always happy and content. He was able to determine his own quality of life. His sheer will to live coupled with his infectious personality inspired all who came to know him. He had his own way of communicating and taught us many life lessons along the way. Due to his considerable health needs, Colin had been a resident at St. Amant, River Road Place for the past nine years. We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all of the medical professionals, staff, volunteers and other families that we have come into contact with over the years at River Road Place. In particular, we wish to thank the people that work on the 2 East living unit for the steadfast, kind and compassionate care that Colin has received in his time with you. As a Team, you do God's work on earth and are a living reminder that angels walk among us. Colin, you have been freed from the many burdens that you faced on this earth. Your spirit is now free to run and play as it so richly deserves. We take comfort in the knowledge that your soul will live on and be forever held within God's tender care. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 2 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Church, 315 Munroe Ave. with Rev. Fr. Gerry Ward presiding. Interment to follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, a donation in Colin's memory may be made to the St. Amant Foundation. Our family wishes to thank all who have provided their comfort and support during this very difficult time. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 982-7550
