Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIAN LINDSAY (nee RUTHERFORD) July 15, 1923 - February 5, 2012 Marian passed away Sunday morning quietly and peacefully. True to herself right to her passing Marian remained determined, feisty and as independent as she could be. The youngest of the five Rutherford girls and second youngest of the eight Rutherford children from Wolseley / West End Winnipeg 80 Arlington St. She was always adventurous and a bit of a handful for her parents. By her late teens Marian followed her dreams and her heart and ended up in British Columbia and eventually Alberta. She worked hard including starting up her own business a secretary pool for hire in Edmonton. Once her son Wayne came along July 1949 she made another big change in her life and came back to Winnipeg in 1955, looked after her ailing mother, took vocational training to get caught up with the world of business and made a life for her and Wayne. From 1961 St. Vital was her neighborhood and she with her partner / husband Joe Lindsay, Wayne and several furry friends made a decent and good life for themselves. In Marian's last seven years she was lovingly cared for at the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg. To the staff of the Convalescent Home thank you, thank you, thank you. Love You Mom In lieu of sorrow, grief and regret let's get together at the Norwood Hotel / Pub - Wednesday, February 29, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. to celebrate Marian's life.
