ISABELLE REDHEAD (nee BYERS) July 26, 1918 - February 9, 2012 In the early hours of February 9 at the age of 93, Isabelle peacefully left this world to reunite with her beloved Jack and fly with the angels and be free as a breeze . She leaves to celebrate her life: her sister Jean Hiebert, her daughters Mary (Ed) Romaniuk and Betty (Rod) D'Argis; grandchildren: Cathryn (Dan) Rogocki, Brent (Lauren) D'Argis and Michelle (Dean) Bruneau and great-grandchild Coleman D'Argis; and many treasured nieces and nephews. Isabelle graduated as an R.N. from The Winnipeg General Hospital in 1942, winning the Gold Medal . She established very close friendships with the girls, and remained class rep until the age of 90. She organized many reunions over the years. They were joyous and something to remember! Although Isabelle gave up her career to raise her family she continued to be a care giver to those she loved throughout her life. Her special time with her grandkids and family celebrations were her favourite things. She loved her regular trips to Saskatoon, BC, Grand Beach and Falcon Lake. We all have wonderful memories and treasured items that she sewed and knit for us. Thanks to the special care givers on the 3rd floor of Parkview Place and all the wonderful people at Holy Family that made her final journey so comforting and peaceful. A private family celebration of Isabelle's life will be held. MIZPAH - May the Lord keep watch between me and Thee while we are absent one from the other.

I spent many afternoons at their house as a child listening to intriguing stories and making cookies as my mom Lauree Byers lived the street over to them on Jamieson ave. my granny is 95 now and I guess she did not realize that Isabelle passed away.
