Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMYRTLE FUMERTON (nee BENOIT) April 9, 1922 - February 8, 2012 We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Myrtle Fumerton on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at the age of 89 years. She passed away peacefully after a short illness. She is predeceased by her husband Bob, brothers Jim, Allan and Bob. She is survived by her brother Dick. Also two sons Ken (Donna) and Bruce and two daughters Gayle Hodgkins (Brian) and Catherine, eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mom gave her love and time freely to those close to her, quick to laugh and enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow. She loved being around family, good food and playing cards. Born in St. Anne Manitoba to Andrew and Hortense Benoit. She lived there until moving to Winnipeg where she met her husband Robert and started their family. In her later years she took up residence at Park Manor where she was involved in the day to day activities and socialized with many new friends. A celebration of her life will be held at Park Manor Personal Care Home, 301 Redonda Street, Winnipeg on Wednesday, February 15 at 2:00 p.m., followed by a reception at the same location. The family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation for the wonderful care Dr. Caners and the staff at Concordia Hospital provided. Green Acres Funeral Home 204-222-3241 in charge of funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers, friends may make a donation in Myrtle's name to a charity of their choice.
