As others have said Miss Drabaniasty was a patient and gifted teacher. She was my teacher at Dakota Collegiate in the mid 1970's. Very saddened to hear of her passing. - Posted by: Murray Sisler (Student) on: Dec 28, 2020

Mme. Drabiniasty is one of those teachers whose patience & kindness stays with you beyond your high school years. My two daughters are in French immersion because of her influence on me. What a wonderful woman. - Posted by: Tracey Cochrane (Former student) on: Jan 27, 2014

I had the privilege of Miss Drabiniasty as my geography and French teacher at Windsor Park Collegiate, 1962-65. She was an elegant and charming young woman -- only 20 or 21 when she started -- but loaded with talent, humour and the ability to motivate. After I graduated from high school I missed her enthusiasm and support. I greatly regret that I did not keep in touch with her. Once I became a French teacher myself, I was inspired by her and often used her methods. She had a profound impact on my life, and I remember her with gratitude. - Posted by: Jim Hooper (student) on: Aug 20, 2012

I met her first when I was asked by my friend to work at her house since she couldn't work around the house anymore. She was a very nice and gentle lady. After my chores I would sit down and drink juice and she would teach me some basic French. She introduced me to the TV show called Dexter and we just love talking about it to pass the day. I know that she is in a better place now. Happy and free from illness. I visited her one Christmas evening with my sister and her family and she was so happy to see my niece. We will greatly miss her! - Posted by: Joeffer (a friend) on: Mar 02, 2012
