EVELYN LAMBO With great sadness we announce the passing of Evelyn Lambo on December 25, 2011, in her 98th year. Predeceased by her husband Nicholas Lambo, Evelyn is survived by her son Wilfrid (Sharon) of Victoria, and her sisters Jean Kruchek of Dauphin, Lillian Dolinsky and Joan Popp of Winnipeg, and Mary Queen of Chicago. Also lovingly remembered by her beloved nieces Karen Hill (Dave) and Kathy Shurvell (Brent), great-nieces Melissa and Meagan, great-nephew Kevin, and numerous other nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Evelyn was born in Pine River, Manitoba in 1913 but lived most of her life in Fort Garry, Winnipeg. She was a kind and gentle person and a friend to everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by family and friends. The family extends its special thanks to the staff on the second floor of the Winnipeg Lion's Personal Care Centre for making Evelyn a home and caring for her so well. A private memorial service will be held for family.
