FRANCINE MILLER 1916 - 2012 Francine passed away on February 7, 2012, after several years of fighting the inevitable. She was predeceased by her sisters, Eleanor and Kathleen. She is survived by her nieces, Donna-Lee and Wilsie, and their families. To say that Francine was special is undeniable. She was a beautiful and successful business owner with Merle Norman Cosmetics, who could be both charming and infuriating. Living in Winnipeg her entire life, she enjoyed the loyalty of many good friends. She loved St. Charles Golf and Country Club and enjoyed many celebratory meals at Rae Jerry's. At the wish of her small and scattered family there will be no service. Her remains will be placed near her mother's. Donations in her name may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of one's choice.

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I worked for Fran in the early 1980's in her studio on Graham Street. This was my first job and I found her to be glamorous, elegant, patient and a very strong woman. Great early impressions were left on me. Rest well. - Posted by: Leanne C (former employee) on: Mar 09, 2012

  • I worked for Fran in the late 50 -'60's at the store on Kennedy & the earlier one as well. She brought Merle Norman to Canada & was a business woman when there were very few of those. She was a kind employer & wonderful friend, she will be missed. - Posted by: Yvonne Cantin (Friend, former employee) on: Mar 06, 2012

  • Rest in peace. We always loved you and we will miss you. Even when friends drift apart for a time they will always be friends. You were the epitome of glamour and style. Many fond and funny stories to be told. Agan rest in peace. - Posted by: Gerry Ward (Friend) on: Mar 06, 2012

  • My Mom Alma Kerr worked for Francine for a number of years promoting the Merle Norman line. I remember Francine's involvement with the "Miss. Manitoba" Pageant. Bless her heart. - Posted by: Linda Strange (admirer) on: Mar 06, 2012
