MARTHA GRACE ROWND (nee GIESBRECHT) 1920 2012 Martha Grace passed into the arms of Jesus after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family on March 7, 2012. Martha was married to Henry Braun during the war and she bore four children. Widowed at the age of 38, she went back to school and became a teacher, teaching for many years in Winnipeg. Martha was predeceased by her second husband, Oswald Duna, after 20 years of marriage. Martha moved to Vancouver and enjoyed the social life at the Kiwanis Senior Residence in Lynn Valley. It was here that she met, fell in love and married Dean Rownd in 2009. Martha is survived by her sisters Esther Enns, Evelyn Enns, and her brother Harold Giesbrecht (Betty). She will be missed by her beloved husband, Dean Rownd; her daughters, Karen Loptson (Stan) and Amy Noschese; and her sons, Dennis Braun (Diane Yaschuk) and Tim Braun (Kathleen Farrell). Martha also leaves 10 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews to celebrate her life. A celebration of Martha's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. March 17, 2012, at First Memorial Funeral Services, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
