JAMES ALFRED ERNEST LYTLE Peacefully on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Victoria General Hospital, Jim passed away with his family at his side. Born March 14, 1924 in Portage la Prairie, Jim married Amy Garnham on October 16, 1948. He will be missed by his wife Amy, sister Eleanor, his daughter Elizabeth and her children Aaron, Jared and Sarah; son Les (Eileen) and their children Samantha and Stephanie, and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by parents Ernest and Ada, and his sister Merle. Jim grew up in Portage la Prairie, lived in Winnipeg and worked at Coca-Cola for 35 years. He enjoyed roller skating as a young man and later lawn bowling. He retired in the early 1980s and he and Amy travelled extensively and spent time with their family. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, March 23, 2012 at Trinity United Church, 933 Summerside Ave., Winnipeg at 12:30 p.m. The family would like to thank Dr. C. Loudon, the staff at Victoria General Hospital and home care workers for their support and care of Jim during his illness. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Victoria General Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
