ALICE NORMA GRAY Norma passed away at the Grace Hospital on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Norma was born September 20, 1931, the daughter of Alice and Norman Gray. She was educated in Winnipeg and Vancouver, and worked for many years in the automobile industry, retiring from Birchwood GM in 1995. She was a member of Broadway First Baptist Church. Norma was predeceased by her parents and her brother, John, and is survived by three nephews, Brad, Jason and Adam Gray of Vancouver. As well, she leaves many wonderful and valued friends, including her church family. Especially dear to her were Arlene Genik of Winnipeg and Erva Farish of Fort Langley, B.C. A memorial service will be held at Broadway First Baptist Church, 790 Honeyman Avenue, Winnipeg on Monday, March 26 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place and a private service for internment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated.

  • Iam so sorry to hear about Norma. I worked with Norma for 10 years. We had so many good times at work an outside of work.   • Norma was dear to our family and she and my mother were very close. Alice her mother was a first cousin to mine but Norma and Mum were closer in age and good friends for many years. My sister and I had been in touch with Norma since mother could not anymore and she visited and we visited there. She and her brother John were in my parents' wedding party in 1949 and we have kept in touch both ways for many years.
