BEVERLEY ANN STOREY (nee WORTHINGTON) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, and aunt Beverley Ann Storey on March 28, 2012 following a lengthy illness. Beverley was 74 years old. She leaves to celebrate her life her husband Gary, daughter Sandra, and son Todd. Also her siblings; sisters Joan (Charlie) and Carol, brothers Ron (Judy) and Bill (Leslie), sister-in-law Dorynne (Tom) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her younger sister Sylvia (Percy). Bev, or Wubsey as she was so affectionately known, was an immensely kind, gentle and humble person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She had a great fondness for children, animals and nature. Her warm and inviting presence made everyone around her feel welcome and comfortable. She had a great appreciation for kindness in others and always made an effort to extend a hand to those less fortunate. Bev was a happy person with a playful spirit and a wonderful sense of humour. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and laughter-filled conversations. She loved music and would quite often whistle along or dance (or both!) to her favourites. Some of Bev's favourite places were Victoria Beach as a child and the family cottage at Westhawk Lake. There she loved to watch birds, take walks and quietly observe nature. She greatly enjoyed the company of her constant companion, her cat Misty, who just recently predeceased her at 19 years. A special thanks to Dr. Sarah Kredentser, Dr. George at the Grace Hospital and the staff at the Charleswood Care Centre. A celebration of Bev's life with family and friends will take place at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. Those wishing to make a donation in honour of Bev's life can be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society or charity of choice.

To the family of Bev Storey: Just wish to add my sincere condolences on Bev's passing as well. I would like for you to know that we enjoyed a good spell of fellowship over the years thanks to our mutual membership with the local branch of the Taoist Tai Chi Society. I will miss her family anecdotes, plus the kind words, that Bev would share, and hope sometime down the road to be able to pay more formal respects. Again, my humble sympathies to the family...Regards, Randy Chan - Posted by: Randy Chan ((friend, through volunteerism...)) on: Apr 15, 2012

Bev was a kind and gentle soul for sure. We so enjoyed doing taiji with her. She was so brave and we dearly ached at watching her progress through her health problems; they didn't change her in the least. God Bless and prayers for the family.
