Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAXIMILIAN (MAX) STOIBER February 2, 1938 - March 7, 2012 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the Stoiber family announces the peaceful passing of Maximilian (Max) Stoiber on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the Dryden Regional Health Centre surrounded by his family. Max is survived by his loving wife and friend of 51 years, Margaret and his three sons Bryan (Karen) and children Trevor and Tyler, Martin (Nicole) and children Megan and Kathleen and Christopher (April). Max was predeceased by his infant daughter Michelle, his parents, sister Rose Marie, and brother Lothar. Max was born on February 2, 1938 in Oberammergau, Germany. He immigrated to Canada in 1957 to Winnipeg, Manitoba. Max met Margaret in Winnipeg and they married on December 17, 1960. He spent most of his time working with Weston Bakeries Limited. He then moved with his family to Dryden, ON in 1978 where he managed the Dryden House. He then spent the rest of his working life with the Dryden District School Board working as a custodian. Max decided to join the retirement group and hung up his working gloves in 2002. Max enjoyed tinkering with things around the house to keep him occupied but his main love besides his family was going to his camp. Here he spent many hours reading books, the newspaper, fishing and enjoying the cottage life . Cremation has taken place and a ceremony celebrating Max's life occurred on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 in the Moffat Chapel of Stevens Funeral Homes. A gathering was held at the Ukrainian Hall followed by interment of ashes in the Dryden Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Max may be made to the DRHC Foundation or the Tamarack House through Stevens Funeral Homes, P.O. Box 412, Dryden, ON P8N 2Z1. My ex-husband was Max's nephew Michael... My girl Mariah would be his great-niece! Wishing we knew this lovely family... My ex-husband is the DOUBLE of his uncle!!!
