TINA MACINTOSH (nee THECLA NAFASTOWICZ) Tina passed away peacefully at the age of 88 years, at Victoria General Hospital on April 2, 2012. Her daughter Charlotte was at her side. Tina immigrated to Winnipeg with her parents and sisters from Tarnopol, Ukraine when she was two years old. She lived most of her childhood in the Point Douglas area. Tina worked at Swift Canadian where she met her husband Charles MacIntosh. They later had one daughter, Charlotte. She was an avid gardener and deeply loved her many devoted pets. She was happiest when doing yardwork on her beautiful property. She loved all creatures, great and small. Tina was predeceased by her husband Chick and her sister Mildred. During the last 15 years of her life, she lived with her daughter Charlotte, her son-in-law, Kelly, her loving grandsons, and their two little pugs. She enriched their lives in ways that words cannot describe. Tina was a very strong, determined and independent person right to the very end of this life.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Aunt Tina was one of my favourite aunties. She was full of stories of her life growing up with her sisters Millie, Mary and Bunny. She was a genuinely warm, funny and kind person. She struck me with her great sense of empathy, and voiced her concerns in a way that enriched my understanding of the world. She greatly loved animals and I have many memories of the stories of her beloved "Cinders" - the wavy-haired black cocker spaniel. Once upon a visit to her beautiful home, she warned us about one beloved cat who was fairly nasty, but she loved him anyway. My condolences to my cousin Charlotte and family - aunt Tina I'm sure was a great mom. "Do zustrichi". - Posted by: Shirley Kowalchuk (neice) on: Apr 14, 2012
