Edith & I and 23 other classmates graduated in 1954 from Grace hospital. Last eve I was at the Grace Alumni dinner where I learned of Edith's passing. My heartfelt sympathy to all the family - I am sure her daughter remembers helping at one of our reunions with Edith hosting a beautiful lunch. Edith was unable to be at our last reunion 2009 as fell & in hospital but we all talked & I visited in HSC after the reunion. Have been trying to reach her since and so sorry did not find her. I will pass on info to other classmates. Lorna Cowan (Birss) - Posted by: Lorna Cowan (Grace Hospital Nursing classmate) on: Jun 19, 2012

I didn't know Edith for a long time. We met because my mom moved into Riverview and sat beside Edith for meals. I always enjoyed having a chat with Edith as I was feeding my mom. She was so intelligent and witty. I remember telling her that I admired how she carried on as normal a life as possible while living at Riverview...always coming back from some fun outing. I am sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Linda Toews (acquaintance) on: May 02, 2012

We wish to express our sincere condolences to the family on their loss of a loved one. We did not know her well personally but her sister Linda was my elementary school teacher. Our love and prayers are with you in the coming days ahead of you. May God be your comfort. Clara - Posted by: Walter & Clara Wiebe (cousin) on: May 02, 2012
