JAMES EASTVELD March 21, 1918 - May 9, 2010 Beloved Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, and Friend. After a difficult and courageous battle with cancer, Dad quietly passed away with his daughter, Hilary and son-in-law, Blair at his bedside. Survived by numerous brothers and sisters, he will be especially missed by his granddaughters, Allison, Andrea and his great-grandson, Aidan. Our father was a kind, loving man whose passing leaves a sadness in our hearts. A decorated Second World War veteran and an Air Canada retiree, his was a fascinating and fulfilling life. He designed and constructed theatre sets, hosted his own radio show, spoke eight languages and travelled the world into his 90s. He always felt, however, that his greatest accomplishment was his family. No matter where he was or what he was doing, we were always his first priority. We were so blessed to have you in our lives, Dad. Not a day goes by that we don't miss you and wish we could speak to you one more time. You gave us a lifetime of love and memories to cherish forever in our hearts.
