AHUVA KRAVETSKY With a deep sense of loss we mourn the passing of Ahuva Kravetsky on June 3, 2012, (13 Sivan, 5772) at the age of 46. Ahuva lived a life that was both simple and complex; a life that presented challenges that were unique to her physical conditions, yet she lived with only rare complaints. She was always surrounded by the people she loved and had a unique way of endearing herself to virtually anyone that took the time to know her. She found joy in so many things that most of us take for granted; one could not help but feel special, just being near her. Ahuva sadly mourned the passing of her parents, Deena and Phil. She is survived by her brothers and sisters: Michelle (David) Hamer, Sharon, Mass; Shayna (Dov Z L) Patkin, Jerusalem, Israel; Bas-Sheva (Eliyohu) Simmonds; Rocky (Barb'ra); Sandra (David) Friedman, Baltimore, Md; Mark (Sharon); Charles, Hamilton, Ont; and Jack (Esther), Toronto, ON. Also mourning her loss are her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and Nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. Ahuva worked for 22 years at Versatech industries, which offers a sheltered work environment to people with mental disabilities. She loved her work and took real pride in what she did. Ahuva treasured her independence, but she was fortunate when she needed help in her last years to have a fantastic team of home care workers who always treated her with fondness and respect, starting when she lived on Meredith Bay with Lillian and Mary and unofficial helper Rey Sto. Domingo. On Vanier Drive she had the care and help of Evelyn, Annette, Sharon, Olga, Amanda and, of course Marianne, who shared her affinity for bling and licensed products. She especially loved - and was loved by - her two special angels: the amazing and talented Leonila Legalspi and Barb'ra, the best sister-in-law in the history of sisters-in-law. To them we owe a huge debt of gratitude for enhancing her life so much. Those of us who had the honour of knowing Ahuva will miss her deeply, but will be keeping her memory alive for years to come with fond memories of her. Shiva is being sat until the morning of Sunday, June 10 at 47 Vanier Drive. Shacharis services at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday to Friday, Sunday at 9:00 a.m., and Mincha/Maariv at 9:00 p.m. Ahuva's life was greatly enriched by her time at Versatech; Versatech is supported by the Versatech Charitable Foundation (www.versatech.org/donate) May her soul be bound up in the bond of eternal life.
