Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH MAUD NEWMAN (nee NEISH) November 2, 1921 - May 21, 2012 Peacefully in the evening of May 21 in Calgary, with profound sorrow we announce the passing of our loving Mother. Left to mourn are her three children and families: daughter Judith in Parksville, BC, grandchildren Ryan (Shelley), Neil, great-grandchildren Braedon and Destiny, Winnipeg; daughter Barbara Johnson (David) in Calgary, three grandchildren and families, Graham (Heather), Kevin (Lonie), and Kimberly (Trevor); four great-grandchildren in Calgary: Javan, Faith, Aliya, and Alex; and son Robert (Irina) in Ottawa. Predeceased by husband Campbell William Newman, November 4, 2003 in Winnipeg. Born of Scottish/British heritage, Mom possessed a sensitive, generous, empathetic positive personality, overcame adversity in her life by commitment, effort and sacrifice. Deeply maternal and intuitive, she consoled us in difficult times, rejoiced in our achievements. A time to cry, a time to smile. A mother's love is eternal. With gratitude and thankfulness for special care and compassion for Mom while living in Calgary the past four years, by sister Barbara, husband David, and family, and daily companions at Wentworth Manor. We are all God's children you told us wisely. Now at peace in His caring hands, you will always be in our hearts and prayers. You gave, forever, the gift of a mother's boundless love.
