INGEBORG KARLER Peacefully in her sleep, Ingeborg Karler / Bedard passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital on June 9, 2012 at the age of 90. Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Inga leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter Pat (Fred) Quoss; grandsons Jeff Carnahan (Sarah Gourlay) and Alex Carnahan (Nikki Luigenbuehl), and great-grandchildren Madison Werner and Caipre Carnahan. Inga was predeceased by her parents Wolfgang and Hilda (Hertl) Boneder and her husbands Reg Bedard (2008) and Hans Karler (1980). Inga immigrated to Canada from her homeland of Germany in 1952 with Hans. Inga always spoke fondly of her work with the C.N.I.B. and with the Sharon Home as an Activity Director for which she received many accolades and valued every friendship. Inga retired to life on a horse ranch in Anola after marrying Reg in Las Vegas. Together they had many happy years raising horses and pets, travelling to horse shows and participating in parades. She took great pride in her flower beds, gardens and the many acres of spruce trees they planted by hand in their yard. Inga spent the last years of her life in Winnipeg close to her family. To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die. We love you, be good. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society in memoriam of Inga's love for creatures large and small. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. A reception will follow at Smitty's Restaurant, 477 Westwood Drive.
